Cookie Policy

Last Updated: August 12, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Jako (“Jako,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you access or use the Jako website, platform, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files or pieces of data that websites and online services may store on or access from your browser or device.

Cookies and similar technologies can be used for purposes such as maintaining login sessions, remembering preferences, protecting accounts, measuring website performance, understanding how a service is used, and providing functionality.

Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, and other browser or device-based technologies.

For purposes of this Cookie Policy, references to “cookies” generally include cookies and similar technologies where appropriate.

2. How Jako Uses Cookies and Similar Technologies

Jako may use cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, maintain, and understand the Service.

These technologies may be used to:

  • Authenticate users and maintain login sessions;
  • Keep users securely signed in;
  • Support account and workspace functionality;
  • Protect against unauthorized access, fraud, or abuse;
  • Maintain security and technical functionality;
  • Remember certain settings or preferences;
  • Understand how the Service is used;
  • Measure website and application performance;
  • Diagnose errors and technical problems; and
  • Improve the functionality, reliability, security, and user experience of Jako.

3. Essential and Authentication Technologies

Jako uses technologies that are necessary for important Service functionality.

These may include technologies used to:

  • Authenticate your account;
  • Maintain your session;
  • Determine whether you are signed in;
  • Secure authentication flows;
  • Protect accounts and the Service;
  • Maintain application functionality; and
  • Enable features you request.

Jako uses Supabase for certain database, authentication, and backend functionality. Supabase-related authentication technologies may be used to establish and maintain authenticated sessions and provide account functionality.

Because these technologies are necessary to provide or secure the Service, disabling or blocking them may prevent portions of Jako from functioning correctly.

4. Analytics and Performance Technologies

Jako may use Vercel Analytics and related performance technologies to understand general traffic, usage, performance, and reliability of the Service.

Depending on the applicable technology and configuration, analytics information may include information such as:

  • Pages viewed;
  • General interaction information;
  • Browser or device information;
  • Referring information;
  • Performance information;
  • Approximate geographic information;
  • Technical information; and
  • Other general usage information.

We use this information to understand how Jako performs, identify technical issues, understand general product usage, and improve the Service.

Analytics information is not intended to be used by Jako to sell customer information or create advertising profiles based on customer CRM data.

5. Local Storage and Similar Browser Technologies

In addition to traditional cookies, Jako or services supporting Jako may use browser-based technologies such as local storage or session storage.

These technologies may be used to maintain authentication state, support application functionality, remember settings, or provide other features necessary for the operation of the Service.

Information stored through these technologies may remain on your device for different periods depending on the technology, browser settings, and purpose for which it is used.

6. Email Tracking Technologies

Jako provides email outreach and engagement functionality. Emails sent using Jako may contain tracking technologies, such as a small tracking image or pixel, that allow Jako to determine whether an email appears to have been opened.

Email tracking technologies are separate from ordinary website authentication cookies but are described here for transparency because they involve similar technical mechanisms.

Open tracking may collect or generate information such as:

  • Whether an email appears to have been opened;
  • The time an open event was detected;
  • Technical request information associated with loading the tracking resource; and
  • Information necessary to associate the event with the applicable Jako campaign or recipient.

Open tracking is not guaranteed to be accurate. Email clients, privacy protections, image blocking, caching, automated systems, security software, proxy services, and other technologies may cause open information to be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, duplicated, or unavailable.

Jako does not guarantee that an email-open event represents an actual human viewing the email.

7. Advertising Cookies

Jako does not currently use customer CRM data or information associated with your connected Google account for behavioral advertising.

Jako does not currently use advertising cookies to sell customer information or create advertising profiles from customer CRM data or information associated with your connected Google account.

If Jako introduces advertising or other materially different tracking technologies in the future, this Cookie Policy and any applicable consent mechanisms will be updated as appropriate.

8. Third-Party Technologies

Certain third-party service providers used to operate Jako may use cookies or similar technologies as part of providing their services.

These providers may include:

  • Supabase, for authentication, database, and backend infrastructure;
  • Vercel, for hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and performance;
  • Google, when you choose to connect or interact with Google services;
  • Stripe, when payment functionality is provided; and
  • Other infrastructure or service providers used to operate Jako.

Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies, cookie practices, and contractual obligations.

Jako does not control every cookie or technology placed directly by a third-party website or service when you interact with that third party.

9. Managing Cookies and Browser Technologies

Most web browsers provide settings that allow you to view, block, restrict, or delete cookies and certain other stored website data.

You may be able to manage these technologies through your browser or device settings.

Please understand that blocking or deleting essential authentication or functionality-related technologies may:

  • Sign you out of Jako;
  • Prevent your session from being maintained;
  • Prevent certain features from functioning;
  • Interfere with account authentication; or
  • Cause portions of the Service to operate incorrectly.

Your browser’s documentation can provide additional information about available cookie and storage controls.

10. Consent and Applicable Law

Jako’s use of cookies and similar technologies may vary depending on the Service functionality you use and the laws applicable to you.

Where applicable law requires consent before certain non-essential technologies are used, Jako will seek to implement appropriate consent mechanisms.

Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide, secure, or operate a service requested by the user may be treated differently under applicable law.

Nothing in this Cookie Policy is intended to limit rights available to you under applicable privacy or data protection laws.

11. Do Not Track and Browser Signals

Some browsers or devices may provide privacy preference signals, including “Do Not Track” or similar mechanisms.

Because standards and legal requirements relating to these signals may vary, Jako will respond to legally recognized browser or device-based privacy signals where required by applicable law and technically applicable to the Service.

12. Data Collected Through Cookies and Similar Technologies

Information collected or generated through cookies and similar technologies may be processed together with other information associated with your use of Jako where necessary to operate, secure, analyze, or improve the Service.

Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information is further described in our Privacy Policy.

Jako does not sell customer CRM databases, Gmail-derived information, or customer contact lists through the use of cookies or similar technologies.

13. Data Retention

Information collected through cookies and similar technologies may be retained for different periods depending on the technology, its purpose, applicable provider settings, and legal or operational requirements.

Some technologies may exist only for the duration of a browser session, while others may remain for longer periods.

Jako may retain associated analytics, security, or technical information for as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate operational, security, legal, and Service-improvement purposes.

14. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Jako, the technologies we use, our service providers, applicable laws, or our practices.

When appropriate, we may provide notice of material changes through the Service, by email, or through another reasonable method.

The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
